Don, was that shot taken around Charleston? PJ

What an oar deal.

If it's like mine, at that depth, if you go thru back hatch carpets won't get wet.

Is that salt water? Did you get the optional flood insurance?

Paul, around here it doesn't have to rain to get flooding in town.
Yesterday, pre rain storm, and with a full moon we had the #4 highest high tide.
This was down town.
any tide over 7' will flood parts of the city
Flooding is a part of living there and the people know what to do usually.
Yesterdays was also influenced by the eastern wind blowing the water into the city

We miss Charleston, it was one of our favorite places to go when we lived in SC. A lot of history there. PJ

Weather keeps up like this it may be time to launch the HL Hunley again.
(though I wouldn't volunteer to crew...)

We just moved back to Ohio from Isle of Palms a couple of years ago. Our former neighbors sent us pictures of our old place on 32nd Ave. after the last storms went through. We didn't even have that much water on the Island went Hurricane Sandy went through there in 2011!

We miss the beach and will be back one day, but don't miss the threat of storms and the Hurricane Insurance premiums!

Stay dry DNK!
