More later but Miss Agatha was 1st in class at the P'cola Brit Car Show.

Nap time.

Congrats!! But, darn...now you've got 2 trophies to set out in front of Miss Agatha in Missouri...I've got no chance now! But I still want to park next to her!

Congrats!

BTW Tony, why do people set out trophies in front of their cars at car shows?

Not any place I've been. Admitly not a lot of shows though.

I've seen a few people do it, but I wasn't sure why. If I wanted to look at trophies then I would go to a trophy shop, but at a car show (where I want to look at cars) they get in the way.

Was intresting, I saw no reasone really to a lot of the judgeing. Cars with strange paint jobs, wrong color, modern add ons, etc, etc.

It was almost like the judges did not know what they were looking at which I expect was very true considering all the different makes and models.

I am very much looking forward to LotO where at least folks from what I have seen know there cars. I know Bugeyes but honestly I am not qualified to judge anything else if the going gets at all close. Oh yea, at LotO judgeing will be by class within class, I think it will work out to a consensus rather than dictated. ie Ok, for your class how do the entrants rank them selves. Should be good fun and I expect to learn a lot from my fellow Bugeye owners.

Only prob with the show was there was no mid afternoon break for a nap. Shoot all the Spridget folks were commenting on it. We sat around in the shade and told stories and how tos. Good folks and fun. Was a perfect day low 70s and a good breeze off the Bay, huge oaks in that park. Lovely cars from MG TF to a 2000 DB4, whoooo.

They do it primarily at US hot rod shows...guess its to show their car is better than others & possibly to sway voters/judges their way....I dunno.

I was wondering if it was a regional thing, because I rarely see it here.

Congrats Jack!

Great photos.

Trevor, Ive only seen it here at Hot Rod shows. Personally, I think it shows a lack of class. When I show my B, I do take along a photo album of the restoration as well as period brocheres and stuff.

Way to go Jack! Miss Agatha's going to get a swelled bonnet if this keeps up!

I got a smile out of the pic of all the cars with their hoods up and then there is Miss Agatha (?) with her entire front end up! "You want to put your hoods up? I'll show you how to put your hood UP!" LoL

GREAT pictures!

And the trophies displayed thing I have seen many places. Sometimes it is discreetly done with them in the back seat or in the trunk, next to the photo album of all the work done. Other times I have seen them spread out in front of the car such that you can't see the car hidden behind them. I never gave it much thought one way or the other. Although I think I can say I tend to walk on by those with the trophy layout in front.

I've gotta get me one of those show boards that tell about the car itself! What sort of info should I put on it?

I really like the before/after shots -- nice to see how far a car has come. Info on any special features or modifications is always nice as well.

The data from the owners manual. Size, weight, disp. all that.

Production numbers if available, estimated number of cars still known to exist, etc.
