& its the first one I've bought in a long time (felt real good!) Drove up to Memphis & picked it up from Joe Reed - a Pageant Blue '79 w/ biscuit interior. Here's a few :

Let me know whenever you're in tha area. There's plenty of other BBQ joints to try out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Congratulations sir. Have you named your new baby yet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif

So, is that one of each yet?

Guys, you've gotta get Joe to take you to Corkey's...best "dry" BBQ ribs Jerri or I have ever had!

Actually, its a copy of my V8 car before I started modifying it (except for the interior color):

Corkeys just may be one of the very best BBQ spots in the world.

Tony, I really like that, good looking little car. Even the color is good.

Wish I had known you were going to be in Elvis Town. I had a couple more AC system I have taken out of customers cars I would have given you. I remember when ,I think he went by, RJ use to bring that car for me to work on it. He was a real nice guy.

Started to stop by, Tom...but Jerri had other plans & by time she was finished you were closed...I want those systems - hang onto them - I'll be by again soon!

Looks like a good car...One of mine is pageant blue, nice color. One thing I hate is when the rostyles end up getting painted all silver(or all black) ruins the entire look of the car...Time to get out your paint brush Tony!

Yep, Joe did a good job of cleaning them up & painting them silver - & they have new trim rings & hub caps...one of my Sunday afternoon projects is to put the black on them where its supposed to be.

But, I kinda liked the way I did my car - trim rings, center aps w/o logo, Rostyles painted black aka Porsche....ah well, TEHO!

Actually, my brother-in-law painted the wheels - one of the few things he did right! I didn't like 'em at first, but they kinda grew on me. I still prefer the original color scheme though...

Glad this forum likes Corky's....I suggested it ona different forum and it was not received as well!

Corky's isn't the best BBQ in the Memphis area - it's just the best promoted and marketed. Still, it's pretty good stuff!

Those dry ribs were so tender they fell off the rib...& what I liked about the way they prepared them was that they cut off the "rib knuckles" - that part of the bone that holds ribs together....so, it was easy to tear them apart.

& whatever that dry rub was - man, I'd love to have a container of it!

Heh, think Corkies will sell that dry rub.

Mine too(see sig)...Only I am not sure if those chrome trim rings on mine are factory, I think the originals were stainless or something? I like the chrome much better though, it just needs some MG crested lug nuts.
