Heard about an "MG for sale",& contacted the seller.
Turned out to be a '74 (built 12/31).Garage kept,with
minimal rust, all there, but repainted in Silver.
I stoled (sp) it for $350,+ DMV fees. Now looking to
get it back on the road.
Since I can't directly post post pictures here - Is-

I never find any of these garage bargains... congrats.

Great deal, Doug! If you have trouble posting the pics, send them to me and I can post them for you.

Midgets are great little cars, hope you enjoy it.

Aw man, 299, the 36, Mattole road, in a Midget. You will be in heaven!

Drew, Thanks (again) - I'll send the pics. Tom, If you're ever up this way, please contact me - I'll show you some BETTER roads. - Doug

Looked it over more thoroughly today - a few observations...... NO rust holes ANYWHERE!,RR brake dragging, couldn't back it off. Dash pot covers removed easily - filled with oil. Checked coolant - BRIGHT Green,& full Drained gas tank - less than 1 gallon in it. Battery's about 3 years old - wipers worked before charging. Brake pedal goes to the floor,as does the clutch pedal. All chrome seems to be good. Won't turn over when I turn the key to start. Silver paint is a pain to restore (I tried - horrible!) Seats have no rips/tears. Top is good - but a couple of snaps are too short. Went to drain/pull radiator - seemed like a good/easy idea..... Tires are old/cracked. Spare wire wheel has one broken spoke. Carpets are worn in front of driver's seat. Jack is still there. Tonneau (sp) is there,as is the top cover. Air pump/engine turn over. Fuel pump doesn't work (Ign switch?) I'll post more questions separtely. - Doug

I got the pics, Doug. Will get them posted later on today when I get a moment.

Pictures of Doug's new Midget. Sure looks like a solid car. A little clean up and that'll be on the road.

I thought he would be taller with shorter hair. :highly_amused:

Figures you bought one right before I decide to sell mine.

Billy, I doubt that you'd sell me your nice Midget for this kind of price (+ shipping), - Doug

$350.00? I wouldn't have paid a penny more than $349.99! LoL  Nice score and the future driver (?) looks enthusiastic too!
