Boston area events in october?

Hey all,

The wife and I will be making a pilgrimmage back to old stomping grounds. We'll be in the Boston area from Oct 7-10 for my 20th H.S. Reunion. Just wanted to check in to see if there were any car related events going on in that time period.

Also, any caveats about driving back in Boston? I've not been there since 1994 and I know that city driving has changed out there since then.

If you have any interest in VW's the VW day is on 10/9 at the Larz Anderson museum in Brookline. I have attended several of the Larz Anderson lawn events and they were great.
As far as driving, I think it has gotten better since the big dig. If you remember anything about the elevated south east expressway thru the city forget it. It is all underground now.
If there is a Red Sox game while you are there the traffic will be tough. Judging from what they have been doing lately there is not much chance of that.

Yes, don't unless you have too and then do it quickly so that you can survive the natives.
Take the T whenever you can.

Lol. I learned how to drive in Boston in my granddad's '85 Ford LTD. I think I'll be ok.

Don't forget to make liberal use of the most classic Mass maneuver: If you have to wait more than 5 seconds when making a left turn into traffic, block the oncoming lane with your car and DARE people to hit you. (pray it's not me you're daring btw)
Brush up on your classic expletive insults and hand gestures. Never trust the cops. Especially if they are directing traffic.

There's a part of me that misses my daily Boston commute. A sick, twisted part...

Laugh. I still drive like that. Gives my wife conniptions when we're in traffic.

I was explaining to her the other day learning to parallel park with that LTD.

Rented a Grand Marquis while I was in Savannah. The wife was astounded how I could parallel park that cruiser!
