Bosch Plat Plus NLA?

Went to get a fresh set and the counter guys tell me they're discontinued.

This last set have been in the Alfa for a couple years, look horrible but fired fine. Put a set of Bosch "Super Plus" in there, they say it uses a "yttrium enhanced copper core"... my guess is the Plats were lasting too long. We'll see if this whizz-bang yttrium enhanced pin does the same duty. My money is on the "old" ones. They may get media blasted and reinstalled.

I'm calling BS. They may not carry them there, the particular plug you need might be discontinued, or the guy just doesn't know what he's talking about. I googled "bosch platinum plus discontinued" and couldn't find anything mentioning it anywhere. Bosch has them on their site, and Amazon.com has them for sale in at least a few different types.

Bosch site, Amazon.com.

"No longer available"......at THIS store. They whispered the last bit as the Harley drove by the open door.....

Mebbe so. I needed 'em "now" so took the copper ones. I'll dig around for a set at leasure now. I'm sure they're around someplace.

So do the Bosch stockists.

Turns out the counter kiddies ONLY checked for "WR7DP" and did NOT look for the "new" Bosch 5-digit crossover stock number.

:wall:

Went to the paint store for Old English White WHT3 and was told it was no longer available as there was no formula in the computer. Went back when the boss was there and was told it was now WHT03 and they could mix it pronto. Kids these days!
