TR2/3/3A Boot lid seal.

Is there a correct/best way to install the boot lid seal. I have mine temporarily set on the flange, post 60 K car, and the top of the seal leans/bends toward the center of the boot as opposed leaning toward the outside. Thanks and have a good day!

I believe you have it right. I recall that if you put it the other way the lid won't close. Don't glue it til somebody else confirms.

As a data point, I installed mine with lip facing outward and lid won't close. I will have to remove and reinstall. But I'm afraid I'll also have to cut it down to fit. I had to cut down the spare lid seal significantly to make it fit. Without cut, it wasn't going to close. The spare lid seal had lip facing inwards.

I tried cutting down the spare tire door seal and found it impossible to get a straight line. I put the new one on whole, forced the door shut and forced the latches to turn. I left it a couple weeks and it was then usable.
