Boot lid repair

The lower edge of my boot lid is deteriorated and I have the repair part for that, but the plinth that the latch mechanism sits on is somewhat buggered too, probably from accident damage. It was poorly fixed with bondo at one point to make it look better, but it still looks bad. Am I correct that no one makes a boot lid repair panel that includes the plinth?

HI Hugh:

I would suggest looking on Amazon or E-Bay for a clean used one.
Installing that patch panel can be difficult.
I do not know about the various patch panels but you could check with Kilmartin

I always remove the inner panel and hammer/dolley the panels back straight (or rust repair as needed) and then reweld the inner piece back in place. You are correct there is no inner panel that I am aware of, only a complete new lid.
