Boot Lid/Bonnet Alignment

Is there an easy process to aligning the boot lid and bonnet on a TR6 besides trial and error? I've thought about placing the boot lid/bonnet in place where I want them and then tightening the bracket adjustment bolts with the boot lid/bonnet in place. I can access the boot lid adjustment bolts with the boot closed, but not sure about the bonnet adjustment bolts.

You can access the bolts for the bonnet through the grill area, but the radiator cowl has to be removed along with the grille.

Dont forget to have the centering pin removed first.Or... leave it in for roller coaster heart palipatations.
An easy way to adjust your trunk lid is to get the bolts just past finger tight, pull out on lip of trunk, close, align, lift and check gently, and tighten the bolts.by the way a double thickness of mask tape gently pressed on the fixed edges saves many tears. Also to look on the bright side if you scrape paint off you are on the road to learning how to blend paint,{worth its weight in gold}.
