That's the first thing I noticed in the TD was that my shoes hit the brake pedal while on the accelerator. I figure I'll have to figure something out when I finally get to drive it.

I have a heck of a time in any MG that's an "A" or older. I gotta use the side of my foot to avoid hitting the brake pedal, or lay my right foot down across the floor and catch the gas with my big toe. If I bought one I'd have to come up with a better soloution than that.
That's one of the reasons I kinda gravitated twards 'rumphs. I fit a whole lot better.
Early sprites (up to MKII) I fit in ok, but the later ones.... Forget it. I can drive one if I have to. But it's not at all comfortable.

It can be a problemo.

I have size 12 1/2 shoes and I'm about 6'2". The first thing a person of my size notices in a GT6, for example, is how small the cockpit is!

I had to change shoes in order to drive the car! Bought a pair of very thin-soled track shoes which I threw in the back of the car to use while driving.

Regular shoes simply would not work. There were other small complications as well.

But certainly, nothing that would deter me from driving that car all day long!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Drew,

Sounds like a great book. Was this one of those that
most of us read back in grade/junior high school? I used to
read every one of those that I could get my hands on.
There was also another one about a high school librarian/teacher who bought a Red Alfa.I can't remember the title.
