Bucket List item: Checked.
Drove all the way out to the pits, talked to folks with cars on site, kicked sand. Now I can say "I have been to Bonneville, stood on the salt"

Surprisingly.....about 70 degrees....overcast...evening quite cool.
Reminded of the writeups I've seen of Burning Man with less....issues.

And Danny is out with Challenger 2.

Damage, unfortunately, appears to be extensive. We're still investigating what actually happened, but near term repairs are unrealistic. We won't be making any more runs at Cook's. According to our GPS data, we were going 413mph at around the 4.6 mile mark when the incident occurred.
