Bonnet Release

While I have the grill out threading in new driving light wires and horn, I installed a spare 'emergency' bonnet release in the nearside fenderwell. Probably silly and waste of time but w/the way my luck has been running what the heck.

No, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Pretty simple- a short length of light aircraft cable attached to the lever of the release and threaded thru a grommet into the wheelwell. Attached a 1"split ring to the other end for the pull. I coated the cable and split ring with electrical shrink tube to prevent any rattle. The pull ring fits thru a small opening between inner fender panels and rests in the engine bay where it is accessable from the outside but unseen.

If you break the cable you can use a stiff piece of wire with a hook on the end to open the hood.
