Bonnet latch

This has probably been discussed many times here already, but what is the number stamped on the bonnet latch? Mine is C followed by three numbers that don't seem to correspond to any of the other numbers on my car.

Not sure but it May be an original MOWOG Part number

JP- do you mean the number on the bracket that the latch bolts to?

BN4 has the body number there which matches the hood hinge and trunk hinge as well as the ali cockpit trims and Jensen tag on the firewall. I believe this was done because these parts were removed for assembly when the body got to Longbridge.

Is it possible the C is a malformed 0? Maybe yours has been replaced at some time.

57 BN4, yes the bracket in your picture is the one I'm refering to. Are you saying that this same number is stamped on the bonnet hinges, boot hinges, and elsewhere? I'll have to look to see what I can find. I suppose the C could be a mis-stamped 0 but I don't think it is...very sharply defined ends.

Thanks for the responses,
JPF
