In the process of sprucing up my bonnet latch mechanism, I didnt keep track of which side the small tab goes on the bottom plate. Should this tab be on the left or right side of a LHD 3000? See attached picture.

memphis, on my 63 bj7 the tab is on the left side, as you look at the car from the front, if you hold the piece as seen in your picture while facing the car you would just have to flip it over, the tab should be facing down, hope this helps, anthony.

Since the picture shows it upside down, it would be on the passenger side, as yours is.

Thanks again, humm, maybe i didnt splain it right, just to make shure...as you have in your picture facing the car just "roll" it over, the tab should be facing down on the drivers side.
