Bonnet buffer kit from TRF question

I ordered one of these and noticed that it has 4 little rubber wedges that weren't on my TR6 before I took it apart.

Where do the go? And how do you mount them?

This is an old picture but you will see them along the inner fender lip on the top right of the picture. They keep the hood centered in the fender gap.

Just did this myself, replacing the originals, so it was probably a pretty good model to follow! When it comes time to install them you'll notice that there's a high side on one side of the buffer. This goes toward the outside of the car and fits under the fender lip where it wraps around. Also, the original installation uses small washers under the screw. You don't want to tighten the screws too much as it will cause the buffers to buckle and bend in toward the middle. Tighten them just enough so the hood will clear the screw heads. When I took my old ones off they were also glued as well as screwed on. The glue seems to have kept them pulled securely to the fender so there was no chance of the hood inadvertently caching one as it was being closed.

Hope this helps
