Bone Density scan

Had my annual physical a few weeks ago and my Dr. said that they thought that a bone scan was in order. She may have just got a new toy and needed to get it paid for.

When I got the results my hips are OK at- 0.7 but my spine is not so good at -2 so she put me on Actonel. I took the first dose on Sunday and today I feel I have the worst case of the flu ever with an acing back and legs.
Any else on this and how did it effect you? I hope this is not the New Normal. If it is I may have to take the risk of fractures as I can hardly do anything at the moment. Advil did help some.

Haven't had the "pleasure"... But sorry you're having issues. Is there another drug available?
 
There are probable other drugs available but most likely with similar side effects. Advil seems to be helping.

My Dr's office called with my vitamin D results so I asked them about the issue I am having. If it is only for a day or two I can deal with it but if this is the new normal I am not so good with that. I feel like I went from 72 to 92 overnight.
