The Lotus Esprit featured in "For Your Eyes Only" is being auctioned by Julien's Auctions - estimate at $250 - 350K.

I just can't see it going that high - even with the movie credentials.

The white car wasn't blown up. It had a stunt double in the form of an empty body shell provided by the Lotus factory. It was loaded with some foam blocks/ dunnage to fly about and make the explosion look more effective. Hollywood, donchaknow.

Then the white car was painted bronze, given a ski rack and re-introduced in later scenes.
