Predates the GT6 (Spitfire too, almost). Bond made a few models that were Triumph based. I believe that the last one that was triumph based did use the 2.0 litre I-6 of the GT6 and 2000 Saloon though.

Doesn't the Equipe use some Herald body parts? Windscreen/fascia, etc.?

Or am I thinking of some other car?

From the firewall back it strongly resembles the Sunbeam Harrington LeMans.

Chassis, windscreen, doors, the engine is spitfire tune, or later ones had the 2.0L 6 like the GT6.
Bond didn't modify the mechanicals so they retained the Triumph new car warrant.
