Body tub shims

Body tub shims, this is most likely one for John because he just finished his and he is a body guy. When you fit your tub, did you have any problems on the latch side of the door gap? Anyways, I ended up putting the equivalent of 6 (about a ½ inch) of those Moss shims on the back out rigger to lift the tub up in order to pull the gap open enough on the latch side of the door and plus permit me to get a pad on the last bolting point of the frame in order to have some cushioning. I just do not like it. I feel I have lifted the car to high.

Hey Steve,

I think I'm reading that there is not enough room at the rear of the door to fit the latch. In this case a picture would be worth a thousand words...is there any chance of giving us a pic of the front and rear door gaps?

These cars are completely different from side to side. I think that's one of those "hand made" qualities. My left latch fit perfectly, but the right side latch was too tight. On the right I had to gently hammer the latch area on the B pillar rearward to gain some space for the latch to fit.
