Body Rear View Mirrors

Perhaps it is all the black & tans over the winter months, however I beleive that someone had metioned the use of Jaguar rear view mirrors for BJ8s.

I have the stock mirrors that mounted on the wings and would like a mirror with single bolt mouting and a tall stem to place closer to the door so it can be adjusted.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

r-m, pictured here is the original door mounted mirror that came on my 63 bj7, its listed as an option on my heritage certificate and was told by the original owner it is such, the stem is not only longer then the fender mounted versions but also has a destict shape to the stem to allow for usage on the door, it does not have just a single mounting bolt but rather two holes for mounting screws from the exterior of the door, the reason i removed it and replaced it with two wing mounted versions is that we have a very large deer population and taking ones eyes from the road for just a fraction of an instant could be fatal, onces youve gotten accustomed to using them they work well never having to look anyplace other then forward. oh and yes it is lucas!

Hi R&M, check XK unlimited's online catalog, the Jaguar cars had a very much wider selection of the type mirror you are seeking.---Keoke
