Body ready to be put on Chassis, 1 question first

I'm ready to put the body shell back on the TR3 but I'm not sure about the fuel line. I'm thinking I need to have the line installed before putting the shell on. It looks like a pain in the butt to do it this way. Can this line be installed after the body is on the chassis?

I believe you're good to go. The line will go down as you set the body on and if its close to correct length then you should be able to connect it to the gas tank thru the body when the time comes to install tank.

Yes it can. It'll be a lot easier to install after the body is mounted - the body mounting step has enough other stuff going on to be worrying about the gas line (bending, crimping etc) too. You have to snake and wiggle it around but it goes in just fine no problem. Actually it clips in a few spots to the body. Get the gas tank in so you can locate the tank end first.

Looking very nice, Keith! but you do have a number of things to line up!

Thanks to four good friends and help from the forum the painted body shell is back on the frame without a hitch. No damage at all to the paint. Using tape as reference points for the guys doing the lifting to align the car with the outriggers and me crawling around under the car all went well. The body was installed with the fuel line in place. I just tied it off to the shock so it would not move. The whole job took five minutes. It's a good day when you see this kind of progress go so well.

I can assure everyone that I am trying to get it a bit dirty - actually put 300 miles on the clock since TRA. Not bad considering the blazing heat we had most of July!
