Body on Frame

My wife wanted to call it a "mating party" but I thought "unification party" sounded less kinky. Anyway, the body is on the frame after several years of being apart. The restoration of her 1966 Spitfire started in 1997. I'm sure that is not a record, but it is a long time. The only serious bit was we forgot to drill holes in the new floor pans on the body stiffener just in front of the seats. Otherwise it went well. We ate fish and chips and celebrated with Guinness and New Castle. There is much to do but I think my favorite wife will be driving "Tillie" to Triumphest this year! I had to go check the garage this morning to make sure it was not a dream. T.T.

TT,
congratulations on the reunification. I too have a body tub sitting on the rack while the frame remains lonely on the floor. I like the fish & chips salute!

Cool! Great milesstone and many more to come, I'm sure... enjoy!

Ever tried "Old Peculiar"?
