body length without bumpers?

Hello, I am going to try to make arrangements to get my Healey home the weekend of the 29th. If I remember I saw in one of my books that the length is 13'x. The trailer I have access to is only 12' long. I have a 1960 AH 3000 it doesn't have the bumpers on it I was wondering if someone could take a few dimensions for me from the front to the back without measuring the bumpers?

Unfortunately my car is about 40 miles 1 way, so I only see it on weekends and am not sure if I can make the trip this weekend. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

well POP's, if your trailer is a car hauler and not one of those rental boxes. You might look at it like this: The Axel to Axel spacing on a big healey is about 7.5'.Therefore, you should be able to load it on a 12' trailer with only a small overhang at the rear. Hope this helps for now others may have a more definitive measurement.---Fwiw--Keoke

I thought about that also but I am not sure if the trailer has a folding ramp(s). I need to call to find out, I know my buddy said it was a 12 footer but I didn't ask if it had ramps or if the car could just hang off. I try not to call him to much, he likes to "chat"/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/tired.gif so I just figured to ask here /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Please, take it from me, I put my BT7 on a 12 footer, from Georgia all the way to Arizona, don't do it , it's to tight. with no bumpers
