I was stunned to hear that he had passed on on Monday. Earlier in the day I have been visiting the Norman and Vi Petty Rock and Roll Museum in Clovis, NM and was surprised to see that the artists who recorded in Clovis included Bobby Vee, Buddy Knox, Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Waylon Jennings, the String-A-Longs, the Fireballs, and even LeAnn Rimes. Bobby spoke in the video about recording in Clovis, and working with Norman Petty Museum. Just listening to the music that was being played while we toured made it quite interesting. And I bet many people in that area have never seen the wonderful displays...
