I went down to Santa Rosa yesterday with my Wife, for an
appointment after her eye surgury.
Somehow I convinced her to go down to Muir Beach, where
she could walk down the beach,& maybe I could visit with Bob.
We stopped by,but he wasn't there (he was in England).
His Family showed us around,& let us look at his projects.I felt
uncomfortable,yet honored,at the same time.
Bob,& his brother Roy,did many things in their lifes -
Roy's gone,Bob's in his 80's.They biult the Winkelmann Formula Fords,
the "Wink" racing mirrors, plus Bob was one of the Cortina/Anglia Gurus,
back when the cars were new.
I was hoping to spend time with Bob,& get some expert advice
on setting our Anglia up.The guy's mind is as sharp as ever - I hope I'll
look/act as good,if I ever see my 80's.
I was given one of the tshirts for our Cortina meeting at
Laguna Seca in 2005,& a copy of his catalog from '69 or '70.
Does anyone else have memories/info on Bob?Anything?

- Doug
