BN7 Front Hub Stud Nuts

BN7 front brakes - Are the hub stud nuts (hub to rotor) a special nut or standard 7/16-20? If standard, are split washer used?

No split washer. The nut part number is ATB7265. Since it doesn't follow the naming convention for 'common' fasteners, it's special in some fashion. I probably used an all metal AN/MS lock nut with a flat washer. Not an odd-ball thread. AHead4Healeys shows the style I used and Cape-International shows what I believe is OEM (an aeronut?). Both all metal lock nuts.
 
No washers are used. Regular Ny-loc nuts work just fine.
 
Because of the shear application, I used AN grip-length hardware sourced from Pegasus Racing (likewise, you could get them from Aircraft Spruce, or maybe even at your local smalltime airport.

There's solid shank passing through both flanges (hub/rotor) and only enough threads to satisfy the nut (fine adjustment is accomplished with .030" & .060" washers.

I used these for my hubs and driveshaft flange fasteners, and any other applications with shear loads
