I am currently refurbishing my original BN4 steering box and i am trying to replace the steering box bushing, but I can not get the old one out. i have tried drifting it out but it will not budge, I have applied heat and still no luck has anyone got any great ideas as to how to remove the old bushing?

I have sometimes had to cut thru the side of the bushing with a hacksaw blade - go slow, keep the cut an even depth thru the side of the bushing and try not to cut into the steering box housing itself. When you get almost all the way thru the bushing steel backing, you can try driving it from the top and it should start to collapse where the cut is and relieve the pressure against the housing so you can finish driving it out. Be patient.
