BN4 Longbridge door panel question

It's time to start on the Longbridge BN4 interior now that the exterior trim is all in place. Before installing the new door panels, I have a probably dumb question. I have never seen a Longbridge car with chrome trim all around the opening in the door, and the new door panels have no chrome on them (other than the small piece that will go on by the door latch area). But I have an extra set of Longbridge doors in the parts pile that does have chrome trim on the panels. (see picture). I'm pretty sure that these are Longbridge doors since the driver's side has the locking outside handle and the passenger side has the inside lock lever for that door. The chrome trim fits well and looks right. If it's not original, which it likely isn't, someone went to a lot of trouble to shape and fit the trim. Any ideas?

None on mine, nor have I ever seen that before.

Could it be some of that universal door edge type stuff to prevent paint chips? I've seen some that was polished aluminum and some that was clear plastic with a chrome strip inside.

that is very impressive!!!. I don't have that on mine and I have never seen that before. you may want to contact the Concours Guide group to see if they have any ideas???? Best of Luck!!!!:driving:

As the others have stated, no chrome trim on the interior panels.......
