My friend always complains that his BN4 sits a little too high. We removed the front springs which look new and have a green stripe. They are 12 inches high. Another friend with a BJ8 has springs that are 10 inches high. Before we buy springs, I think we need more samples than just one. What should the 1006 and early 3000's be?

It's hard to believe that any Big Healey sits too high in the front. Is it because there is a big gap between the top of the tires and the fenders? Usually, the best solution for this problem is to buy proper sized tires.
But, to answer your question. BN4 and early 3000 springs have a free length of approximately 11-1/2 to 12 inches, a wire size of .535" and a spring rate of 225 lbs. BJ8 springs have a free length of approximately 10-1/4", wire size of .610", and a spring rate of 385 lbs.

Yes, he has 185/70 tires. Thanks for the information. He can decide if he wants BJ8 springs on it. I suppose he would get a rougher ride.
