BN2 throttle linkage

Firstly, I'd like to say hello again after a long absence - my job moved me from Houston Texas to Milan Italy late last year, and the 100 has spent several weeks on the high seas, and some more time in storage in Milan whilst I sorted it out for the road again. Anyway, it had it's first outing on this side of the water on Sunday, a great drive up to lake Lecco with the Austin-Healey Italian club. Once up in the mountains, we did over 100 miles on great driving roads with hairpin bends and steep inclines /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif. The car ran well, except it has developed a sticking throttle, traced to the bush inside the bellcrank on the exhaust manifold - the bush has worn right through. Which leads to my question - can I just buy a new bush and press it in, or do I need to ream it out, and if so, what size reamer?

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,
Good to hear from you. Glad you are having fun. I believe the OD of the pivot shaft is .360". Don't know if you will have to ream or not. Also don't know the OD of the bushing. Your best bet is to remove the bell crank & measure the parts. Someone with a lathe can easily make or adapt a bushing to fit.
