BN1 Transmission rebuild

Hi everyone.
Doing a BN1 gearbox rebuild, an acquired one to replace one currently in car that leaks oil badly and has a intermittent and noisy overdrive probably caused by aforementioned oil loss issue.
Have new bearings, lay shaft and lay shaft bearing to go in.
No supplier currently has in stock lay shaft thrust washers and with current ones giving 0.004 play not the recommended 0.002, may have to live with that.

Two questions .
Front motion input shaft has slightly dropped wearing away acme oil scroll in front bearing cover.

New ones are not available, has anyone experienced repairing? Or does any one have a good one spare from a disassembled box?

Has any one experience with new repro syncros?

How do mine look? Still life left?, As stated it was a acquired box so don't know how it ran?

thanks in advance
regards
David

Try Healey Surgeons for parts. They’re just outside of D.C.
