Sorry if I am bringing up something that was discussed fairly recently but I'm not accessing anything in the archives.

I need to replace my rear leaf springs--should I be going to a UK source or Moss? Information on any recent experiences with whatever sources will be appreciated.

Michael,

I recall that Roger Moment said that Moss was importing a higher quality UK product lately. This link has some info:

leaf springs

Cheers,
John

Hi Michael,
The quote above is the last that I have heard about the Moss springs. It is a quote from a couple of years ago. I personally would use the Moss springs. I would replace all of the associated bushings & hardware also. Old suspension metal is likely to develop fatigue fractures & this is not a good place to have things breaking.

michael,i recently found a bn1 cut up in an old swimming pool the car was cut up into pieces,ya i know makes you kringe, but i salveged one rear spring, the other was cut with a torch, the one i have is in good to very good condition with shackles at bothe ends,if you need it ill be glad to just give it to you if you pay for the shipping.also have entire front end hub to hub attached to a couple of feet of frame, dont think ill give that away but would be very generous on a price, let me know good luck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
