Finished this. Now, if the body/paint guy would get with the program I'd have someplace to put it.

There sure be a lot of shiny in there. The only thing shiny in my engine compartment is the fresh oil coating I intentionaly keep on the engine for rust protection... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Body and paint men use different calendars from those of the rest of us. To better relate, try thinking in geologic terms.

Great-looking motor. Got the full "Le Mans Kit"?

Looks really good, might consider the "tropical climate fan" or whatever it was called, you can get them from Moss and others, was a factory option when new (or supplied on cars going to the hot parts of the world, don't recall exactly).

Anyway, moves more air, cools better, but doesn't look as nice as the neat cast aluminum standard issue, but still correct for the car.

That and water wetter and mine stayed below 190 or so even in some very hot weather driving soon after my rebuild.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The body/paint guy works to a calender that only shows months, not days. They do have a clock somewhere though because I'm paying by the hour. The problem around here is that there is a very limited number of shops that I would trust and they all have more work than they can handle. The machine shop was almost as bad.

The engine has a Schneider mild cam, 9:1 Venolia pistons, Denis Welch Fast Road head, and "M" carbs and manifolds. A better fan is on the "probably" list since I live in Arizona but I'll try it with the stock one first.

I had the rolling chassis finished (except the engine/gearbox) 2 years ago and decided I didn't like the color. It should go back together pretty fast once the Body/Paint is done. My most optimistic target is the 2008 Tucson British Car Roundup the end of Feb ( https://tucsonbritish.com/Roundup.aspx everone is invited). A more realistic goal is Conclve 2008.

This has gotten me worked up. I'm going to leave now and go kick the body guys (censored) again.
