BMIHT FACTORY RECORD

TR4

Jedi Knight
Offline
After reading a recent post on the BMIHT Factory Record I dusted off my own record to see which vessel my car came over the pond on. The record shows the vessel to be the HUGARO leaving The Royal Edward Dock, Avonmouth on September 27th, 1964 heading for Gesner & Forman Inc. in New York. I have not been able to find anything on the web to learn about this boat. Maybe it was renamed so not so easy a task. Does anyone know how to track this down? Not a big thing, but somewhat interesting so might make good winter reading.

My certificates don't have such info... is it listed under 'Other Information'?

Mine are about 5 years old so perhaps adding this info is something new? Also, both my TRs went to the West coast so maybe that's why.

I looked around the internet for a good 45 minutes (and I'm pretty internet-savvy)....I couldn't find a darn thing about the Hugaro. In fact, the only record I found was of a Japanese war boat called the Hugaro. Maybe there was an error when they created your record?

I even checked different combinations of the word to find something; to no avail.

Mike
