Rhode Island Wiring
BMCNETech Session
567 Liberty Lane, West Kingston, RI

BMCNE visited Rhode Island Wiring Service, Inc. We toured their West Kingston facility and saw how they create accurate, concourse quality, reproduction wiring harnesses for vehicles from the early 1900's to present day vehicles.

Awesome place very talented techs beautiful antique wire and thread looms..

The origins of Rhode Island Wiring Service date back to the early 70's. Two brothers with a goal to fix cars and make money doing it collaborated to form a single company. The company didn't last long and the two brothers went separate ways…. The younger brother created Rhode Island Wiring Service; willing to provide "As Original" wire for all makes of antique vehicles. The older brother still provides quality restoration and rewiring making the family leaders in the car restoration field.

You guys would have loved this tech session! Coffee and donuts were a bonus!

I bought the harness for my 54 XK120 (No longer have it) from them years ago.

Would the guys have a last name of Souza? just curious.

Very cool - no pics but, Saturday we went to the shop of a member of our club for a MIG welding tech session - much fun!

I bought all the wire to build the harness for my Prefect (in all proper Lucas colors) from Rhode Island Wiring. After building, it taped everything about every 6 inches then sent it back to them to braid it. This is how they sent it back to me. Beautiful stuff.

Glad to see Rhode Island Wiring is still going. Been a couple decades since we last used them.
