Is there some kind of chant or sacrifice to the car gods I am failing to perform! I can't catch a break. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

Only use the black composite Payen gaskets, dry, no sealer, deck block, skim head, ARP fasteners(torqued to ARP spec with ARP lube). Start, warm, shut off and cool. Adjust tappets, retorque. Drive 100 relatively gentle miles and retorque again.

Place rabbitt's foot in pocket, 4-leaf clover under floormat, lucky penny glued under door skin, burn a 12" piece of rotting English wiring at midnight under a full moon, and last but most important.....
STOP redlining as you dragrace pimple-faced ricer punks at stoplights. Sure its fun, but its expensive.

Didn't do that.
