Blower Motor Always On

When we turn the ignition on the blower starts up and stays on. Thought it might be the control switch, so we replaced it. That didn't do it. Disconnected the switch, but it's still getting power from the green w/ brown. Have checked and rechecked the wiring diagrams. Everything seems to be in order. Can't figure out how it's getting power. Any thoughts?

Check the wire colours. The Brake switch and the heater blower brake out of the harness near each other, and both are [2] wires. A quick check is to turn on ignition, step on brake peddle, check for brake lights. No light you probably have the wires mixed.

Regards, Bob

Disconnect the battery and using an ohmmeter check resistance of the blower wire between the switch and blower with the wire disconnected at both ends. If it measures no resistance then there must be a short between the blower wire and some other wire along the wire route. The tough part is then to find the short. Look at points where the wire goes over edges, any kinks, or out of normal appearances. Another option is to run another wire, but more serious trouble may crop up later.
