Blower assembly question

Whats the difference between the a blower pre 1967 and post 1967? Moss claims a difference but I can't tell from any pictures I've found. Is the picture shown in the link correct for the earlier blowers, or later?

The pre-67 has a 1" (or so) adapter for the 4" hose to hook onto- the 67 to '70(??) has one that is about 5" long (sort of)and angles horizontally to hook to the 4" hose.
