Only got out of the house once today, to fill bird feeder. Winds gusting to 50 mph, drifting, blowing snow but temperature not too bad at 24F. Barometer got down to 28.82 - almost hurricane territory. Snow has stopped but wind still howling. So far no power outage but the night is still young. We got about a foot but it drifted. This weekend, it will be below zero both days. Global warming - where are you? Son reports 38F in Boca Raton this am. Meanwhile, way up in Canada, it's in the 30s. Crazy.
 
Tons of snow here in norfolk, VA as well. Chaos on tge roads. People that shouldn't have licenses in cars that have no business in snow. A couple hours last night without power but other than that, all good. Plenty of food and beer.
 
No snow here in Roanoke,it's just a little bit cold,
at least until the wind starts blowing.

Went thru one ice storm there, power lines and treelimbs all over the place. And those drivers and their cars out in it. Buckroe Beach in the early '70's
