Today I decided to stop and take a look at the London Taxi that I've passed countless times by the side of one of my favorite sports car roads. Its hood is in the back seat. The headlamp and turn signal flasher are both by Lucas. Hard to imagine it will ever pick up another fare. Also hard to imagine how it ended up here.

those tailights look like they could work on a bugeye or a spitfire. sad car though

I doubt the authenticity of that number plate. Licencing authorities, were very careful to ensure that words like that never "escaped".
UM would have been Leeds, in Yorkshire, but I think the "M" is painted over.
