I have a BJ8 here and noticed that the two windscreen wiper blades are of different lengths: one is 10 inches long and the other is 12 inches. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A very knowledgable BJ8 owner told me that his are both 9 inches long and he believes that that is correct. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

So, what's the story with your BJ8?

Also, does anyone have a source for the original "Rainbow" brand arms?

Muchas gratias.

The pair on my BJ8 when I purchased it with 45K miles are 10 inches and stamped "Made in England". There is another very small stamped logo that I can't make out w/o magnification. A Moss replacement set has 10 inch blades, but are made in Taiwan. I have no idea if the first set is original or not.

Hi Editor Reid, They are SS "Trico" Brand, say "Made in England" and both should be -10" long.---Fwiw---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Reid,

I bought wiper arms and blades from Moss about 5 years ago and they were the Trico brand, Made In England and have 10" blades (the BJ7 and BJ8 use the same part). The Moss catalog still lists the wiper blade refills as orig. "Rainbow" blades. Perhaps you should check with them to see if they still carry the Tricos. Otherwise, perhaps AH Spares?

Cheers,
John
