BJ8 Rear Seat Squab

I was reading the Austin-Healey 3000 mark III Driver's Handbook today.
BODY DETAILS. Page 14 & 15.
Hood folding: to lower the hood proceed as follows:
1. Pull the rear seat squab forwards from its rubber catches.

I wasn't aware this was possible. I have two bolts holding it in place. Should I not?
Does anyone have a photo that show the rubber catches in place on their BJ8?

I'll attach a photo of the two bolts in my rear wheel well that extend into the side of the "rear seat squab" aka rear seat back.
I'll attach photos from the handbook showing what they describe.
