BJ8 Phaze III Jump seat back questions

Finally gettting around to the rear seat install but have some questions

Are all the components upholstered first and then assembled?

From what I understand he top rail is supposed to be padded but are there any other places thhat were supposed to have been padded?

Do the curved mmetal plates which proviide clearance for the bolts get covered by the uphonlstory get covered seperately or do they residde under the upholstory ? D

oes anybody have pictures of their seat back when it was out of the car so as to show details of what one looked like originally? The seat back (all 3 parts) were missing when I got my car but I have been gathering the parts ( scored the folding panel part off Ebay. Was lucky there as it saved having to have it upholstered and then finding all the misc components, not cheap but in the end saved me quite a bit)

Thanks
Leo

On my car the metal pieces were not covered. Obviously the main seat back gets padded and covered. The three main blocks of wood that attach to the car are just covered w/o padding. The inside of the shelf which is exposed when you lay it flat is covered with carpet. When I got my car I got all the hardware but had to make all the wood pieces. I got patterns from fellow club members and made drawings so I could fab the parts. I will see if I can find some pictures for you. Have a good day!
