BJ8 - Hinged Armrest/Cubby?

Hi All!

Question.... I have a '65 BJ8. Should it have a hinged/cubby armrest? I have seen some with this and some without. Was this an option?

Thanks!
Bob

Bob,

The hinged cubby box/arm rest was on the Phase 1 BJ8 only. (along with flat pull exterior door handles, glass behive shaped parking and tail lamps and no anti torque arms on the rear axle) The cubby box was incorporated with a longer console that came about 4" further back than the later ones, and met the cubby box. There was an open space of exposed carpet after that on the tunnel before the rear seats.

Yes, thanks indeed, as I was curious about that myself.

I'll be doing a complete interior on BJ8L 41778 in the near future. This car has a non-cubby armrest, supporting your statement above.
