Need to remove the old steering wheel and replace with new.
Looks like to get enough slack on the trafficator wires I need to access the front of the gear box and loosen the nut/olive.
No way I can get to the nut easily without removing the grill.
Stumped on where to start to remove the grill.
As always, appreciate any advice offered.
Thanks
Matison

Matison, I will send photos showing the various grille attachments to you directly if you would contact me a sbyers@ec.rr.com.
The grille comes out most easily by removing the left front wheel and inner splash shields and removing the grille though the wheelwell.

If you remove the one splash shield, can you not then reach in to access just the olive or the wires to disconnect them. I would avoid removing the grille unless absolutely necessary.

Yeah, I guess that would work to access the nut and olive. But I've never removed the olive or the stator tube when I've removed the steering wheel. The connectors for the steering column wires are not accessible from the wheelwell. It's easier to disconnect them from below the car if your arms are long enough.

You do not need to remove the Grill.

The trafficator must be removed from the collum. There are connector hidden up under the front hood latching plate that free the trafficator wiring from the main harness.
Remove the trafficator:
tape its wiring so it will slip through the tube.
Remove the steering wheel :

Installing a new wheel is the reverse of removal--:highly_amused:

Have fun---:friendly_wink:
