BJ8 anti-roll bar

I am replacing the bracket and link bushings for my anti-roll or sway bar on my BJ8. How tight should the link lock nuts be screwed down? It seems that if you overtighten them, you really deform the bushings.

Shorn--

I asked the same question as was told to tighten them until the bushings just begin to deform slightly but not squish out substantially. It seemed like an imprecise answer but I guess the torque value is not critical. In any case that is what I did and I have had no problems.

Thanks Michael,
Whilst manoeurving my workshop manual (with a necessary english to english translation /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif), I didn't read anything suggesting how tight they should be. I did suspect they should be as your answer indicated, but wanted to make sure. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
