BJ7 Steering Wheel

Were BJ7's made with or without adjustable steering? I want to buy a Motolita boss to go with a great Lempert aftermarket wheel I'm buying - there are two options listed by LBC for BJ7's - adjustable and non adjustable. My car is stateside on it's way downunder and I can't access it to check what it has - as is mostly original I will take a shot based on what the majority carry.
thanks
Scott

My 63 BJ7 is adjustable as well.

Re: BJ7 Steering

Scott,

I'm installing a beautiful Lempert wheel on my BJ7 at this moment (see my other post on trafficator). My car also had adjustable steering. My guess is that most BJ7s and BJ8s had adjustable steering, I can't recall seeing any without it.
The correct Mota-Lita boss for the adjustable steering wheel is the B7. Be careful if you use the mota-lita website to order as the numbers there for the adjustable hub are incorrect. With Jeff Zorn's patience at LBC Car Co. he was able to straighten me out when I thought he had shipped the wrong item.

Happy Healeying,
Rick

Re: BJ7 Steering

I also installed a Lempert wheel this Spring on my BJ8. They are beautiful. He does a fantastic job. The way the Lempert wheel sits when driving straight ahead, allows the driver to view the gauges. The Moto-Lita wheels block the view to the tach and speedo.

I have one of the rare non adjustable BJ7's. Also had one with the adjustable column. Seems the majority had the adjustable column.
