i am looking for a used hood pull and brackets that attach to the body to support the pull rod. also does someone have a closeup pic of the pivot mount on the upper radiator support. this is where the pull mechanism is pivoted to pull the hood release. i have two small holes as if there was some sort of bracket for the pivot clevis to fit through. thanks in advance for any help. maxwedge5281@charter.net

thanks rick. what does the spring attach to on the other side of the receiver? it appears that the mount for the pivot has been removed on my car. guess i will have to fabricate that. yes this car has one of those v8s as welll....sbc roller motor!

I had to make mine as well (the pivot side) and it wasn't very hard at all. Here you can see the spring side. The spring goes into a hole on the radiator support bracket.

thank you. i found the hole and have the pivot mounted. at least one other question or request....does anyone have a pic of the support bracket for the pull handle inside the car and the first guide that attaches to the shroud? they look simple to fabricate and they are no longer available at moss. thanks in advance...

The middle support is just a simple angle bracket for a grommet to prevent rattling. It is secured to the shroud support with one of the screws. The one inside the car is a bracket that is spot welded to the underside of the cowl and bent (twisted) to the proper angle for support.
