Saturday the Whitephrog left East Tennessee where it had been a resident since 1974 for it's new home in Brentwood (near Nashville). Fellow BCFer Mike Pennell is the new owner. Mike and the car will eventually be going to Macedonia.

Sorry to hear, and I remember your talking about selling a while back. Going to a good home, though.

Always sad to see them go, but sometimes it's what needs to happen.

Don't think of it as seeing the car go, look at it as continuing the mission to make sure that future generations appreciate and love these cars as much as you do.

I graduated from Vanderbilt and spent many a weekend in Brentwood with a college friend who grew up there. Your car is off to a nice location. I'm sure you will miss the car but it's not too far away!

I'm told that Macedonia has beautiful lakes and mountains. Sounds like a great place to enjoy a Sprite.

All:

I am especially honored to have purchased this car, which can almost rightly called a "masterpiece."

Today, a friend and i spent the day swapping the 1275 out and the 948 in. We had plenty of time and did the work with great care and precision. I will stay true to turning this car into a nearly perfect example of a concours motor as possible.

Yes, this car is destined for a (minimum) three year European tour, which will include as many vintage rallies, etc. that I can get to. Macedonia will be a lovely jumping off point to the Balkans, the Alps, the Black Forest, the Cote d'Azur, the Italian interior, and I plan to even take it over for a homecoming in Britain. I did buy the car to drive it and I do believe it will be the ideal combination on performance and style. I'm very excited about the future.

Wow, sounds like a great trip and a great car to do it in! Is the trip an organized tour or are you doing it all on your own?

Kurt.
