Is a professionally made Bimini top produced by anyone?? In my perfect world they might come as a Union Jack
and dressup the old Tr3 . There are old pictures of 3's with this type of cover, where did they go??

I’m in the process of making one from a donor roof with unrecoverable windows. I’ve heard of people doing it with umbrella fabric(which opens up the color options). I’ll be making mine this winter season. The nice thing is that it has all the LTD and Tenax connectors already in the right spot.

A club member in our Houston club was making Bimini tops for TR3s and 4s about 10 years ago and sold quite a few - the flood from Hurricane Harvey wiped out that business unfortunately.

I had mine made at a local Upholstery shop. I got a picture of one off one of the Forums and showed it to the uphostery shop and they made one that I think is better than the one in the picture. And the price was not bad.

So I have a donor roof and I’m thinking of trimming along the marked lines to keep 3 LTD fasteners on the strip above the stick support straps. Also thinking of keeping one LTD by each door to cover the metal support. Lastly… going to cut out the rain gutter for more openness and better visibility. Thoughts?

Interesting… so nothing but the stick straps don’t the back and clear on the sides. Do you just have a Velcro loop around the back crossbar?

I don’t have any pictures of the one my wife made for me. She made mine with a zipper tube to go around the rear frame. Will get some pictures tomorrow not installed.

I would tend to cover the "triangle " area of the top sticks just a bit. The shocker is that there
has been no Union Jack style Bimini top made, for what looks like a pretty large market of owners.

Here are the pic of mine. Zipper around the frame goes between the webbing. Have 2 straps that pull down and back.

So I largely finished my bimini top. Along the way I replaced the webbing (was a seatbelt strap at the wrong length) and corrected the rear mounting that was done strangely by the DPO.

May still lose the side and rear attachments if the rip apart but we shall see. Ran a HD velcro strip to wrap the fabric around the rear cross bar. Also removed the inner rain guard from the sides to allow a bit more visibility
